I think this is just a mis-understanding as to what James said.
I wasn't there so I don't know what exactly he said but the nanotube is just the Halloysite on a microscopic/atomic level (like the pics they are showing in the prez's.)
ADN has 9.7 Mt of Halloysite (Halloysite, nanotube zoomed in.)
I'm scared to say this now...
but a simple "email" to ADN would clear that up.
IMO, James is still new to public speaking at this level. I even heard 2 mis-steps in the webiair, but, they were little and I think everyone knew what he meant.
