Yes, I think there would be an immediate market for the 2013 perpetual motion machines. For many, seeing is believing: “I saw it with my own eyes!” Executives will pay high dollars for Executive Toys; besides, it comes out of company funds.
Personal note: There is tremendous value in getting people to see an actual model. Some may learn from this. About 25 years ago I was on a fund raising effort for a research project. I spent significant time on constructing models that would fit into portable cardboard boxes and then personally visited designated companies and quangos, rather than just sending out letters of appeal. While I was trying to wax eloquent, the VIP eyes could do nothing but ogle the models in front of them. It really grabbed them. “Hey, the MD has to see this!” They were instantly impressed because they gained a real mental image. A model seems to give assurance. It was worth the effort. (They were not perpetual motion machines.)
