I use quicken personal to account for my stock investing. It is chep and has lots of features for share trading (div, company name change, stock split, drp, etc) . When selling stocks quicken lets you select which purchases you want to sell for a particular company fifo or lifo. Or if you are a trader using opening stock ,closing stock, purchases and sales the program caters for that too.
