Can't see a necessary link with the price of oil aimone.
If oil is higher due to strong demand from buoyant economies, then, yes, you would think steel demand, and therefore met coal prices would also be buoyant.
If oil is higher because of supply concerns (ie middle east fears), I can't see how that would necessarily flow through to steel prices and met coal prices.
