Agree with you. I am late into this, but for once had exquisite timing. Got a foothold with some oppies in May, then my ords just before STO's bid.
Been watching CSM for a couple of years, and Davies impressed, as did the AOE strategy/acreage. What I had been waiting for was more on the economics, plus finding a proven player prepared to take aussie csm experience into Asia. Once Davies showed his hand in that AOE became a no brainer imo. CSM in Asia has come of age, and AOE has the credibility, capability, drive and strategy to prosper.
The death of the PNG pipeline, and STO bid were icing on the cake. East Aussie gas prices are a global pricing quirk that will not last. Anyone that can profit at A$2.5, will proper at A$4 or A$5+
I just wish I had bought as many as intended, as for sure a multi-billion $ coy this decade imho.
