    See you jump in Davisite boots and all.  Yes it is widely held that it is unethical to withhold effective treatment in clinical trials.


    So maybe stop for one moment and think MM is pretty clever and so why would she apparently say something that on the face of it makes little sense.


    And with 30 seconds of google research you can discover that HIV-cure analytic treatment interruption studies have been (and are) being conducted. About 10 of them in the last six years.

    And guess where … also in Thailand;where there was a fascinating study of the decision making of volunteers …volunteers which you said could never happen.

    This whole thing isn’t about who can best argue on HC.


    I think there is a great deal of value in posters like Warnie who have been around the block a couple of times …their wisdom is priceless.But baffling laypeople with a little bit of knowledge … I think it does put a degree of responsibility on a poster. Not that I claim to be faultless … but I do try to keep to some degree of moderation / proportionality.
