Tim reckons that 70 to 80% percent of the Reef is dead from warming water.
My understanding has always been, from my school years, that the reason the Reef does not extend down below Gladstone, is because the water is too cool below that latitude.
Has the Reef developed a new form of coral that now does not like the warmer waters of the Tropics?
