Hi folks,

Comparing ARQ and PSA is like chalk and cheese,
so why bother ..... like JBC said, all that matters
for shareholders, is the continued uptrend, in
both stocks.

However, we need to clarify some notions about
ARQ, right here and now .....

Firstly, ARQ (and its predecessors) have been
producing gas from Dongara field for about 20+
years and continues to do so for customers
on the Parmelia pipeline to Perth.

In fact, with recent acquisitions, ARQ has increased
its gas reserves with a 50% stake in Beharra
Springs field, which lies adjacent and SE of Dongara
field.

Oil, whilst now a significant part of earnings, is
probably still ARQ's secondary earner and it only
started contributing to the company's coffers,
within the past 2 years.

Unlike PSA, ARQ does not benefit from huge
fluctuations in gas prices, due to seasonal
influences ..... WA prices are much more stable.

Footnote:

It will not take long for analysts to make
news out of ARQ/ORG making a bid for
HDR's Woodada assets .... this being the
SW quarter of the adjoining fields, that
ORG and ARQ do not already control.

Looking ahead, as HDR raises funds for
the development of Mauritania, Woodada
will probably be sold to the ARQ/ORG joint
venture.
