you have been misinformed.
They have a $30mil jackpot not because they are doing well but because the Government regulators say they have skimmed too much off the poor suckers whom play Lotto and it's time to give some back.
Bigger jackpots like this are the best time to have a punt though as the risk reward ratio is far better.
