The human in the loop is equivalent to a bicycle with calliper brakes. You can still buy them but most people want the hydraulic disk brakes just because it works better.
The human in the loop has put shareholders in the poop. So any talk about continuing with that business model will put appen share price down to around 15c. It will become stagnant with low volume at that price as everyone loses interest in the company over time.
