Whether you like it or not, tax loss selling is a real thing and it has evidently impacted the stock price.
But you're spot on with your disdain for panicking investors - why worry about a fall for something that is completely out of your control? The company did the right thing raising money at a higher price to reduce dilution. I'm glad it provided me the opportunity to enter what looks like a wonderful business.
