Japan is one of the most advanced nations and have been able to improve their citizens standard of living with little population growth is remarkable.
just think of all the overcrowding, land clearing required to support a perpetually increasing population in Aus.
its almost like the droughts and water shortages Aus faced recently are forgotten - its basic demand and supply. More people vs not as consistant rain = water shortages in future.
