this is exactly what hooks me to this stock, the machine learning domain that Appen is working on making better.
I think there's a huge potential in coming times...

the kind of services mentioned in this article i.e. annotation of data(including voice data) is provided by Appen and they specialise in this. For companies like Amazon, Google and Apple for anyone else, it's far better to outsource these anonymised files to get annotated and get the data back to feed to their machine learning algorithms than doing it all by themselves. They are definitely building their own AI engines, no doubt as to compete to provide better product, but annotating data is a tedious job and mostly outsourced.
