Well is this the turning point for the stock - JF basically admitting in public it would make sense for a large suitor to do a M&A.
Her words no less than freely inviting potential offers.
As we know it is a given for Boards to consider all offers coming in the door regardless but this was almost a 'tempter' to put SPL out on the market callling that in many respects it would make sense for AZ to come to the table.
Probably the frankest I've seen from her in an interview.
Before anybody goes jumping to the conclusion I'm a JF sympathisor, that I'm definitely not. This stock should be north of $5 already and any takeover less than $10 would be a travesty. As a CEO she has failed so many timelines and for over a decade has lacked the strategic direction to bring SPL into being a profitable enterprise. Her remuneration package for the size and performance of the company is absurd.
