Here is an interesting chart that I had created to illustrate the potential of coming gold price change as a result of M2 change (2 yrly: to blow up the effect of the changes). First arrow indicates ~ 3qtr 1972 and second arrow indicates ~4th Qtr 1976 and 1-3 year later i.e. 1974 and 1980, there were explosive change in gold price as indicated by the spikes below.

As shown below there is a corresponding big change in 4th Qtr 2020 (it is looking like the coming Qtrs change is going to be more) and therefore can we deduce that in 1-3 years time we are going to get explosive change in gold price? The caveat is the much lower velocity of M2 but the massive change in M2 will probably compensate that.
