Israel walked out of Gaza and left the entire place for the Palestinians.. quite the opposite of what you state here. What did they get in return? A terror state that fired/s missiles onto its civilians without care for life.
If you lived on a property I owned that your dad or grandfather had signed a rental contract on, and you did not or refuse to pay rent on it, and made illegal additions etc. to it, I wouldn't care how long you were there for. I'd look to evict you or look for financial consideration - exactly what I expect you or any reasonable person to do.
