Nevermind Japans nuclear capacity, rightly or wrongly this disaster will throw doubt on global nuclear expansion and once again place emphasis on thermal coal as the safer option.

Respect and condolences to those involved in this disaster but this cloud could potentially have a serious silver lining for CPL and the coal industry over the short / medium term.

Out of interest the ASX reported shorts on CPL are currently just over 1.5m shares.
