I'm digging up research on Uganda's Idi Amin. In 1972 he ordered construction firms belonging to Jews to halt construction across the country. Not long after he expelled the Jews, his reason was the Jews were sending the country bankrupt. (I sourced a video of him actually saying this. First hand)
Not long after the expulsion of all Jews, media outlets all over the world released story after story targeting Amin. The stories ranged from murdering 500,000 people to running covert extermination camps.
