John Richard Saunders FTSE, BSc (Hons) Sussex, PhD UNSW is a Founder of Carbon Conservation Pty Ltd., Enretech Pty Ltd., Red Door Limited, and Sydney Film School Pty Ltd. Dr. Saunders has wide experience in the private and public sectors, covering high-level investment advice, business development and project structuring through to financial close in Australia, Europe and Asia. He has 19 years production and marketing experience in global oil, gas, chemical and electricity ... industries as energy and utilities director. His career highlights includes: Negotiating the engineering, procurement and construction contract by a Chinese consortium for a 750 MW hydro project in Nepal for a major Australian hydro developer; Leading the development of a 500,000 tpa hot plate rolling mill in Vietnam designed by the German engineering group Ferrostaal, with equipment supplied by a Chinese consortium of CMEC, MECC and Shougang; Structuring a consortium of three Australian and three Chinese companies which designed and constructed the Hanoi National Stadium; Coordinating the Australian Federal Government and NSW State Government approvals for the third runway at Sydney International Airport; Advising on the engineering, construction and financing of the Dampier to Perth, North West Shelf gas pipeline and Pioneering government policy for Public-Private Partnerships for infrastructure development in Australia. Dr. Saunders served as the Chief Executive Officer of Office of Economic Development for NSW. He served as Chairman of an Asian Infrastructure Taskforce for the Australian Federal Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. He serves as the Chairman of The Linden Group Pty Limited, Mosaic eCommerce Solutions Pty Ltd., Carbon Pool Pty Ltd. and Sydney Film School Pty Ltd. He has been the Chairman of Padbury Mining Limited since June 22, 2010. Dr. Saunders served as the Executive Chairman of Yilgarn Infrastructure Limited. He served as Non Executive Chairman of Sydney Gas, Ltd. (formerly, Sydney Gas Co. Ltd.) from 2007 to September 2007 and from March 19, 2008 to November 27, 2008. Dr. Saunders served as Chairman of Sydney Gas, Ltd. since January 15, 2007 and also served as its Executive Chairman from May 7, 2007 to March 19, 2008. He served as a Director of Sydney Gas, Ltd. from November 27, 2006 to November 27, 2008. He served as a Director of Sundance Resources Ltd. He was Deputy Managing Director of the Australian Trade Commission. Dr. Saunders was Special Adviser to the State Energy Commission of Western Australia. He is Chairman of the Asia Pacific Council of the Macquarie University. He was Chairman of the Western Australian Energy Policy and Planning Work Party. He was a Member of the Joint Committee for the North-West Shelf Gas Utilisation. He is an Australian Centenary Medallist and a Chevalier of the l'Ordre National du Merite, France.
