The report issued on the 20th October stated that there were elevated mud gas peaks at 2582m MD in M-2 (70-times background level) and a marked increase on the C1 to C5 components.
Has Invictus confirmed that 2582m MD is the first occurrence of hydrocarbons? Perhaps there were mud gas peaks higher up, but not as high as 70-times background? We should wait for the preliminary log analysis results to determine the top of the hydrocarbons.
I recall reading that there was a thicker than expected shale layer (about 163m thick), so the gross thickness might be (3080m - 163m - 2200m MD) about 700m.
