Butch I reckon the biggest problem was, same as Mk1, the mud weight.
I'm pretty sure all the other issues with the hole are directly related to that.
They won't make the same mistake with the side track IMO, if the pressure starts to head up I reckon they will stop drilling and sample.
The company can not afford another failure.
