Kevin Rudd wants to try to stop asset prices from falling.

It can't be done.

During the boom asset prices reached ridiculous levels.

They now have to return to more normal levels.

Politicians can't defy gravity or the business cycle no matter how much money they waste trying.

Kevin Rudd is not King Canute.

It seems we live in a time where the electorate can never experience any pain at all.

Sometimes a little pain is very useful.


It stops things from getting out of control like house prices,wages and inflation.

A little pain every now and again helps prevent the massive pain that is about to be inflicted on us now.
