    I can barely watch those wildlife shows either Rabbitoh, but that is done for survival. Killing 45 day old lambs that haven't been weaned from their mother yet, just so you get a milky lamb slice is a different matter.

    I must admit the bolt did seem to kill instantly, but afterwards there is still legs flailing etc, it is gruesome at best. And I cannot believe their first method didn't work. It was like watching a psych patient getting zapped in the 50's
    I'm sure I'm unusual, in that slaughtering an animal like that is not much different to me than a human being tortured,

    I bought fish for dinner.

    But I love a lamb roast. I couldn't bear a mushroom quiche.

    Can't we gas them or something? Something calmer....I don't know.

    I do know that I will never eat milk fed lamb or veal ever again. It is unnecessary. The ewe is left with an udder full of milk with no baby. It's on the table with rosemary and mint sauce.
