you may well be correct and my interpretation of the KZLG incorrect.
I bought my KZLG some time back @ 80 cents so I am well in front in either case and got a nice interest payment in January too.

I thought the price discrepancy may be just due to there being hardly any KZLG available on the market, but it looks like it may be due to the reason you point out.

Also to jiga, thanks for that info on who the current large bidders are. I think Southern Cross just sold a lot of SMO so maybe they are putting the funds into KZL.

I hold both SMO and KZLG.
