I think that is unlikely to happen, the NBN will not happen without Telstra..
Thodey made it clear that Telstra were never able to make the nummbers on FTTH add up and commercially viable.. If they could not do it, Conroy certainly will not be able to..
Yes, the Goevernment say they have other ecomomic considerations/benefits that they take into account, but, they also promised our so called competitors a fair return.. Without TLS the NBN cannnot get both economic benefits and a fair return..
Also, have you read anything about other Telco's selling assets to the NBN Co as yet.. No, because they will not until TLS makes a move to do so..
This process could quite conceivably end up the same way of the FTTN, but in a much grander scale and many $billions later..
