I am a landlord and have a tenant who has rented from me for 15 years. In that time I have only increased the rent 4 times from between $20 to $75. He now pays $500.00 For a 2 bedroom duplex; one street from the beach on the Gold Coast. I pay for the water. The duplex is probably worth $750-$800 a week. But, I’m grateful to have a wonderful tennant, and that this stage I can still manage the loan repayments. There are a lot of great landlords and tenants out there.
