It’s accurate to say that constructing a building is a productive endeavour. However, it’s the builders, not the landlords, who are responsible for this task. When you purchase an existing property and lease it out as it stands, it’s essentially the same as acquiring undeveloped land and leasing it out in its natural state. In both scenarios, you’re trading money for a title — the value of which remains equivalent to the money exchanged — and then seeking compensation simply for holding that title. It doesn’t matter if it’s a vast expanse of land or a residence you didn’t construct; the nature of your activity remains unchanged.
