Directors have not said that (to a 'material effect') there's any pressure on freight rates.
One can't doubt it's competitive with Linfox so big compared to LAU and even Toll, but from snippets LAU issues with its repeated commentary on how so-called 'independents' are in some cases withdrawing from the market - 'cowboys' who might have one leased B-Double or rigid truck - that must help incumbents.
If net profit was up 15 per cent, beating CPI, I'd regard that as a very good result. 'Mr Market' though is a harsh judge.
