I believe rumors of a large capital raising would be a sign the talks with the banks have been successful. Any agreement would surely require a massive reduction in debt immediately to mitigate the banks exposure.
IMO this would be good news for shareholders as it would promote the greatest chance of survival and recovery.
A sizable capital raising would = sizable brokerage fees. Incentive enough for a few fundies to get involved and support it.
We should all be more the wiser within 7 trading days.
