Personally I have lost more than gained over the years regards stock investments and oil & gas stocks with binary outcomes have been my demise. After that it was the oil price several years ago that smashed me up a bit more so unfortunately it has all been a journey of hard knocks and tough learning and in fact I most likely will sell the last oil & gas stock in the near future. It has been a long long time coming upon its journey with many disappointments however I can affirm that at this juncture it now has a bright future but not into commodity based investing after the potential is reached. For anyone interested it is Central Petroleum CTP, has the ducks lining up nicely with combined good management, production & exploration portfolio it also happens to be under valued. I think with production in place the safety factor is at a level I can sleep well with but it is the exploration prospects that can see this one fly over the next 8 months to 2 years.
There will be a number of high potential lower risk wells drilled in 2020 for mostly gas with markets and infrastructure in place to deliver. Finally, the Dukas well in the Amadeus basin NT looks very promising as it is a rare sub salt target associated with a potentially seriously huge amount of gas ( multi Tcf) and closure of some 512 square kms. Santos, CTP’s partner suspended the well on massive pressure in July as the rig and safety equipment was incapable of handling such pressure. Disappointing that it looks suspended for re entry until 2021 but think holders and management are pretty excited for a company changing situation when the well is completed and it has a number of other sub salt targets which in some cases are larger and 100% owned by CTP. There is also high potential for a world class reserve of helium in the gas mix for the well.
Another is in the health space called Compumedics and I believe it is also moving through its gears toward real gains over the next 12 months, especially with much r & d spent on brain scanning analysis called MEG. Similar to MRI but highly ground breaking one off technology set to revolutionise brain research and in fact the testing performance and safety of new drugs such as iPPS. It has also applied to the FDA for approval and expected 1st quarter 2020
Off subject regards PAR and apologies for the ravings though the end story is we all have one in reaching financial goals and together it can assist each other on this fine forum to achieve them.
By the way with PAR I have re gained all losses and beyond but have both eyes open to reduce risk whilst maximising potential regards shares, secure with a home and a good Super in place.
Of course as the theme suggests I would be interested to hear from others regards their stock potentials should posters accept the idea however agree the relevance to PAR is not on topic?

Considering this to be a fun post and whilst going off topic, your oil centric approach sounded like mine until the oil crash and I realised commodity stocks suffer from a large “outside of one’s control” factor that heaped on too much volatility for me.

Instead I rejigged and got myself interested in the tech sector. Stocks I follow and own are NEA, AD8, VHT and WHK. All for their international reach (prospective market reach) and product uniqueness, funding levels and ability to scale (potential essentially). They all vary in MC, but I find all these interesting. In the biotech space I’m long on PIQ for similar reasons.

Just interesting ideas to potentially explore, and usual DYOR disclaimers apply.
