That's the first time I can see that the company has publicly discussed spinning off Dubbo (thanks@PovertyBoy)
Seems like a good idea. I'd be happy to hold both the GoldCo and RareEarthCo stocks to be honest, but I am probably not the norm and acknowledge the shareholder bases would be very different.
The Financial Times story on the 15 projects is interesting info too. Oddly enough, the link to the actual report (https://www.industry.gov.au/data-and-publications/outlook-for-selected-critical-minerals-in-australia-2019-report) is dead and I can't seem to find another. Has anyone here downloaded it successfully as I would love a copy?
I wonder if a spun-off Dubbo is something the Future Fund could invest in? There's probably rules against it mandating investment on purely economic as opposed to strategic grounds, but who knows?
