    More strong signalling in the media and (presumably) from the government in relation to the Malagasy mining code.

    As you may be aware (or not), the country banned the export of gold (along with a heap of other mining related activities), and this article describes how the country has indeed opened up mining pathways by initiating the first legal export of gold in a number of years.

    Almost most importantly (to us anyways), the article reiterates the mandate for:

    "...the adoption of a decree implementing the mining code, are among the priority projects of the minister's first hundred days. "

    This means a probable early April timeline for the implementation of the mining code, and more importantly, a step closer for AKO to be able to apply for an exploitation / mining licence.
