Wood Mackenzie says the Hawsons Iron Project will be critical if Australia is to contribute to critical decarbonisation in steel manufacturing globally.
In the new report, Pedal to the Metal, the research and consultancy firm underlines the importance of high-grade iron ore products to emissions reduction in steelmaking, a carbon-intensive industry.
The quality, potential and strategic importance of our project for the transition to “green steel” has already been recognised by the NSW, SA and Commonwealth governments, which have awarded us major project status.
