Just for the completeness of the story Walk - Eddie was actually a military pilot from a 3rd world nation on exchange training with us. It highlighted some differences in academic selection standards between nations. He had one other noteworthy ability. Being a PNG Highlander he was able to maintain useful consciousness without oxygen at 25000 ft in the hyperbaric chamber in simulated aircraft explosive decompression events - unlike anyone else on the course history.
