Really ? ..... there you go again making assumptions when you have no idea about people's individual financial / trading / investment circumstances and/or the CGT implications for them in the scenario(s) you repeatedly describe as how it should be done .....

Look at this Hypothetical Scenario for example;

Imagine if someone sold all of their LT holding at (say) $2.50 in February 2021 and gave up their >12 month CGT benefits/discounts with this sale only to buy back in April at a lower amount and SPL get taken over out of the blue in July for (say) $5+ because a big pharma want the DEP tech..... an investor would now be worse off in this scenario - don't you agree ? Hardly "there can be no denying that" they should have sold in the recent peak in this instance ?

Please stop professing that you have all the answers in relation to SPL trading and biotech trading because everyone's situation is different - just sayin' !
