Read the article in the business section of today's Australian newspaper by John Durie.. That should soothe some of your problems with Telstra..
Everyone keeps saying the same thing that the NBN cannot be built to compete against Telstra.. They cannot all be wrong..
BTW, after his latest efforts Conroy has become a lame duck Minister.. This will really help this thing get built..
