I am on the Age Pension and stand to lose $42,000 on AJM, the sad part of which is that I was probably up that much or more at one point when things looked good. I have accepted that the money is kaput but fortunately I have a reasonable holding in PLS and so am glad that they have launched a takeover bid for AJM because as I see it that is the best way I am going to recover some of my money.
So instead of blaming every man under the sun , question why AJM got into bed with those particular financiers, why hasn't mgmt kept us informed, the way they went into trading halt etc so we couldnt sell, and why did they leave it till the death knell to try and refinance.
So maybe loading up on PLS could be your saviour but DYOR.
