    "They" are predicting, but on what basis. The figures don't back up doomsday scenarios we keep hearing. What will happen in the United States is what has happened in Italy and Spain. The virus has gone through, killing those vulnerable to it. As it is much more contagious than the flu, this happens in a shorter period of time, overloading hospitals (which is a separate issue that can increase mortality rates - preparation and planning is what's lacking). Deaths in Italy have already peaked, but it is NOT mainly due to the lockdown, as millions, not tens of thousands are already positive.

    How long before the charade becomes impossible to maintain?
