Modern Hebrew, as spoken as the daily language of Jews and others in Israel
is based on Temple 3 script.

Temple 3 is an ancient form of the language and is associated with the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Some scrolls were in other language/dialects and jews themselves spoke
    many language variants including Yiddish.

My partner is Jewish (a religion, not a race) and was educated in Hebrew from
    primary school.

Interestingly in Jerusalem The Temple of The Book displays large portions of the scrolls.
She was able to read them, as easy as if they were written yesterday.

Some scrolls are associated with Bible text, and are another test of authenticity.
