Oilwatcher, the use of the word “denier” as in a denier of manmade climate change has indeed entered the mainstream. It’s use is therefore entirely practical since everybody knows what it means.

Dr Curry is free to have two bob’s worth of opinion, as indeed are you, but who cares about someone else’s opinion, particularly ones without any foundation in fact, such as those held by deniers of manmade climate change.

you won’t be surprised to know that climate science is robust, broadly-based and well established. The only people who use the word “settled” are deniers of manmade climate change who fail to realize the only thing they’re showing is their own ignorance of science. as they try vainly to win their fictional argument.

i’ve been urged by many deniers to consider that temperatures on Earth were different from today at 10 million and 50 million years ago.

so what if they were. I wasn’t alive then but i am alive now and human activities are forcing rapid change to current climate dynamics.

what’s happening today is all important, not some specious argument about how thick an ice sheet was 2 million years ago.
