Mckesson UK and AURELIUS

Some time ago Mckesson Corporation based in the US streamlined it's operations in Europe. The reason for this was to exit Europe completely

In this process it sold Mckesson UK to Aurelius ( a private company for  £477 million

McKesson UK is comprised of four divisions: retail, digital, homecare and wholesale.

McKesson UK businesses operates LloydsPharmacy, LloydsDirect (previously Echo by LloydsPharmacy), AAH Pharmaceuticals, LloydsPharmacy Clinical Homecare, LloydsPharmacy Online Doctor, MASTA and John Bell & Croyden

Over the past weeks there were and are reports filtering through that Aurelius will be closing all of the Lloyds Pharmacies

As you can see from above there is a wholesale (AAH Pharmaceuticals) and online (LloydsDirect)  business

AAH is a leading distributor of pharmaceutical and healthcare products serving pharmacies, hospitals and doctors nationwide. In the UK, All About Health (AAH Pharmaceuticals Ltd) is the largest community pharmacy network and pharmaceutical wholesaler.

Delivering over 15 million items per week to more than 14,000 pharmacies and other organisations, they operate from 14 local distribution centres.

Hopefully the closing of the pharmacy chain (if this happens) will allow AAH to distribute to the 12,000 + pharmacies. Remember initially Lloyd Pharmacies were the only brick and mortar stores being supplied by the wholesaler

So this is most probably a positive step for distribution and supply of Viraleze nasal spray in the UK
