Given the world we live in, I find it surprising that the Korean battery makers have A: allowed themselves to be completely reliant on one country & B then poll the US against the FEOC legislations effect on their buying off 1 country.
Korean battery makers imported 97% graphite from China last year. Ok some are starting to move, but they’re each also building around 200GWh worth of factories alone in the US worth B$$$$$$$.
Any form of blockade, China Virus lockdown, Natural disaster, piracy, war, or if China feels like turning off the switch. That will be B$ of plants sitting idle. I’d be racing for a spread of suppliers not the other way around.
