I wouldn't consider this as a depressive episode, however I recently had a bout of anxiety after seeing a stock which I lost a fair bit of cash on after selling, recently have some good news and have a big boost in SP. After a couple of weeks of feeling sorry for myself I decided to really consider my situation and decided that I am fine and that my feeling sorry for myself was completly under my control and a bit silly really. After a change of perspective I now look on this event as a lesson, but also something that I am happy for the people involved in the company and their shareholders.

Perspective and attitude is something I've always found to be a powerful tool in dealing with anxiety and depression. When I can be mindful of how I'm feeling and identify what is making me feel that way, I can then workshop in my head different ways of looking at things.
