The relevant comparison here is to DEP remdisivir and Gilead. In the US, the focus has been on Fauci and vaccines to the unfortunate exclusion of therapeutic drugs and treatments. Somehow Merck got the support of government agencies for their anti-viral drug. If only Gilead had pushed DEP remdisivir ....
