It could be said that metastock is the industry benchmark by which other charting programs are judged by.

It is very powerful and I have used it with success in the past. Because of the huge user base there is a welath of information and tools available.

I have been using a program called Bullcharts and I find it suits me very well. It's geatest strenght is it's intuitive interface. It also is very fully featured and powerful. For a mathematically challenged person like myself I find the scan building features particularly useful - no formulas are required to build your own scans. Of coure it has a comprehensive list of indicators.

I subscribe to a live intraday data feed as I am a day/short term trader primarily. End of Day data is the standard cheaper option.
