IMO Malabra this has been grossly oversold. Still the same mine, still the same reserve, still will process the same amount of gold. Has a great bank balance so no immediate need for cash. Would suggest that the eastern cutback has been completed and the stockpiles are maxed out. Why not suspend mining operations for a while and make a political statement. Let those who benefit the most go and protest on your behalf. Process as much ore as possible while this crap is passing through the system. IMO the the solution for this mess will come from within the government in a couple of weeks.
In short I'm not sure what caused the upturn. Would suggest a few savvy buyers looking for a bargin. Q3 report due out in a few days which may shed some light on the situation. I don't expect too much info until the Lopez situation has been resolved.
