’Starpharma will prioritise the development of its DEP-HER2 radiodiagnostic program towards a first-in-human clinical study to initiate within the next 12 months.’ (meaning by May 2025)
I told the forum in March 2025 that Starpharma are clearly not going to achieve this May 2025 target and subsequently I said that recent language from the company now indicates a hope of commencing late 2025. (And that was only if continuing pre-clinical optimisation work is satisfactory).
Well May 2025 came and went, and now the company seems to indicate that even a late 2025 commencement is not on the cards.
The language used in last week’s QR didn’t even state that this clinical program was now planned specifically for 1H FY2026 or 1H CY2026, they just said 2026. So perhaps as late as December next year! That’s some wriggle room with zero certainty for shareholders.
P.S. It’s no surprise to me that Starpharma are having trouble progressing this program. I always believed it to be a bottom drawer program likely to never see meaningful progress. However the litany of recent terminated programs, terminated trials and terminated partnerships, and questionable DEP drug trial results/commercial viability has changed the equation.
