The agreement with Mundipharma re distribution of Vivagel BV™ products collapsed last year with a refund to Starpharma. Interesting that a number of nasal sprays have povidone-iodine as active ingredient which is commonly used in Australia as a brown antiseptic liquid because it is 10% w/v in Betadine. On the Australian Betadine™ label it is the registered trademark of Mundipharma Netherlands With distribution of Viraleze currently from Netherlands, was Viraleze likely to compete with any nasal spray having povidone iodine as active ingredient and thus did Starpharma arrange its own distribution in Europe on-line instead of via Mundipharma ?
