By Law the agent is obliged to present any offers made, to his client.

Stick to the price you have determined is all you want to pay, don't listen to anything this fool says about other offers.

If he had other offers the owner would be already considering them, or has already rejected them.

There are plenty of properties for sale.

This isn't about screwing anyone simply my advice is to NEVER pay more than you can afford for ANYTHING.
