Well possibly. However, I have 150,000 AWE shares and I applied for another 10,000 - I tend to stick to my own investment rules re a balanced portfolio etc.
"Taking the piss" - not really I think it is called opportunity and has been presented as such.
"Just a few weeks/months ago you could have bought as many as you liked from willing sellers in the 40c range." True enough.
"The chummy deals are reserved for instos and outside shareholders - the rest of us got the shaft on this one good and proper."
That tends (sadly) to be the story of these share issues - the little guy is lucky to get the scraps that fall off the table. Hopefully we might do a little better in this SPP. Anyway, next week we will know.
